my cousin's wedding is scheduled on a very inconvenient date for the autocross season.
It's the Friday of the Spring Nationals at Lincoln Air Park, and I'll probably be having surgery the next weekend (which is the Wilmington ProSolo event). Looks like my next chance for any national events will be the Toledo ProSolo event in June.
Kevin Sorbo as Hercules will now express my current feelings.

That's how I feel every time a Texas air show falls on a weekend when I'm out of town or otherwise busy. Which seems to happen a lot.

you should inform him thusly and make him aware how selfish he is being not thinking of you and your autocross season :D

I do, but her and I are almost the same age so we are pretty close. It definitely takes precedence over racing. There's going to be a ton of family from out of town doing stuff. I'm currently debating if it would be appropriate for me to leave Saturday (the day after the wedding) and drive to Lincoln for the race, which is on Sunday and Monday.

Most family wedding-type things are going to happen before the ceremony, so I think it should be fine to leave the day after... The better question is where is the wedding in relation to Lincoln, and are you going to be able to drive that in a day and still be in decent shape to race the next day?

Since the wedding is on a Friday, I'm pretty sure most family stuff is actually going to happen on the weekend; so people don't have to take more work off.
The wedding is in central Michigan, so we'd be looking at about a 13-14 hour drive. If I left early Saturday morning I could pass out at a decent hour in Lincoln. Getting up early the morning after a wedding would be rough, especially in a large Irish Catholic family... they know how to have a good time. haha
